Whoa !! That's just an amazing job.
This is probably the best styrene model kit I've seen. Styrene is much more limited in detail than resin or vinyl but this Alien 3 from Halcyon still manages to look pretty damn cool. Styrene is a bit of a bitch because every piece come in two halves so there's a ton of seams to hide, but with patience it can look pretty good. I've seen quite of few of these painted, so I decided to go for a bit of a 'different' look for an alien, by making him look like I imagine an 'adolescent' might look, when they've grown large but their skin still hasnt hardened and turned black yet.-

For painting, I airbrushed on a basecoat of ivory, and then covered the body in several glazes of burnt umber. The dome and shoulders were basecoated with a lighter shade of ivory, and then I airbrushed streaks over them with a sepia color. The teeth are a combo of silver and bronze, and I got the shiny wet look on the dome by airbrushing on several coats of testors glosscote laquor. I gave the base an antiqued finish by coating it in an iron-based paint, and then covered it in a rusting agent that made the lower areas where it pooled really nice and rusted looking. The slime on the mouth was done by heating a thin clear acrylic rod over a stove element and pulling it out into a thin strand. I then glued it onto the mouth and covered it in epoxy glue to blend it in and make it look goopy.
